    Chemical Engineering Faculty Position

The Chemical Engineering Program at the Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus is seeking applicants for a faculty position at all ranks. New Ph.D. graduates and experienced academics seeking permanent positions are welcome.

Details about the METU NCC Chemical Engineering curriculum and other details about our program can be found at http://ncc.metu.edu.tr/chme/home.

The future plan of the program includes Chemical Engineering with a focus on Bioprocess/Biosystems; Process Safety and Design, following the ABET Criterion 5 mandates on rigorous safety and economic constraints in design; and focus on Computational Chemical Engineering/AI in the Senior Design Project (Capstone), targeting graduates who are the most technologically advanced in the region.

We are particularly interested in applicants with a strong chemical engineering background, including thermodynamics, transfer processes, chemical reaction engineering, and process and plant design. The use of modern tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, Aspen Plus/HYSYS, and AutoCAD Plant 3D is highly desirable. The positions are full-time and will be available from the semester of fall 2026-2027 (September 2026) or such other date that is mutually agreed.

METU NCC is committed to high-quality research and teaching traditions. The standard teaching load at METU NCC is 3 courses (equivalent to 9 hours) per semester. METU NCC provides competitive salary packages and subsidized on- campus accommodation. Please visit Working and Living at METU NCC for detailed information about what METU NCC offers, including social security, retirement, and health coverage, along with an indicative table of remuneration levels.

Applicants must apply online at Guidelines for Application to Faculty Positions and follow the instructions therein to complete the application procedure. They are required to include a cover letter that states their area of expertise, a full CV including a list of publications, and contact information for three references.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
