Political Science and International Relations Faculty Position
The Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) Program at the Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) is seeking applicants for permanent faculty positions at all ranks. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related discipline to be eligible. Both recent Ph.D. graduates and experienced academics are encouraged to apply.
We particularly welcome applicants with interdisciplinary research interests in areas such as development, migration, gender and politics, global governance, public policy, or critical approaches to international relations.
Teach courses in the Political Science and International Relations Program at the undergraduate level.
Supervise student research and theses.
Conduct high-quality scholarly research and publish in reputable academic venues.
Contribute actively to the academic and administrative life of the program.
A Ph.D. in Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related discipline
A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research
Proficiency in English (medium of instruction at METU NCC)
A postgraduate degree obtained outside of Turkey or Cyprus
Experience in teaching at the university level
Evidence of high-quality research publications
Interest or experience in interdisciplinary and critical approaches
Ability or willingness to collaborate across academic disciplines
Positions are full-time and will be available starting from Fall 2026 (September 2026)

The standard teaching load is 9 hours per week (equivalent to 3 courses per semester)
